Martial Arts Insurance can be arranged for schools / clubs / gyms by our preferred broker covering all types of martial arts styles including Kung Fu, Karate, Taekwondo, Mixed Martial Arts - MMA, Kickboxing, BJJ - Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Aikido, Muay Thai, Tai Chi, Wushu, Judo and Krav Maga to name a few.
There are set standards and limits of cover for different types of insurance appropriate for martial arts school owners and promoters. These covers have been adopted by our peak body / association as insurers have also recommended them based upon the claim history and outcomes over the past 20+ years.
HERE THEY ARE:
- Public, Products, Civil, Management Liability – PL (coverage varies from 1 - 20 million)
- Professional Indemnity – PI (coverage varies from 1 - 10 million)
- Personal Accident / Player Accident (there are numerous covers / limits depending on each insurer)
- Property – building – (generally for those operators who lease or own their own building)
- Property – contents - (covering such items as fire, water damage, theft, burglary, glass, accidental damage etc)
- Business Interruption – (can be included with a business pack policy)
From what our Members have told us, many instructors don't not know how to research insurance, or how to interpret the policy wording.
This can be an issue as so many instructors don't know what they are buying. Martial Arts Australia has assisted instructors to find insurance for over twenty years initially in the capacity
as a 'Referrer' to brokers and then as an 'Corporate Authorised Representative' for a broker to arrange policies.
